Masterfoods in the UK is giving away 200,000 tennis, rugby, cricket and soccer balls to help bounce the public through a summer of British sport. To launch the promotion they have created a TV advert linking Mars with the phrase, “Don’t just watch your heroes, be your heroes”. The series, showing well known British sports heroes, is designed to capitalize on interest in Wimbledon tennis, The Ashes cricket series, the Lions tour of South Africa, and the FA Cup Final at Wembley.
The commercial series shows tennis star Pat Cash, cricket player Darren Gough, rugby player Austin Healey and football player John Barnes. The campaign directs viewers online at www.marsballsgetbritainplaying.com. See more of the videos online at the Mars Balls YouTube channel.
